    MIT Chennai Admission Process

    The Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai imparts advanced-level courses and undertakes research programmes in technical areas. Admission to all the MIT courses is managed by the Centre for Admissions (CFA). MIT Chennai offers BE/B.Tech degree is based on the scores of class 12th whereas an entrance exam is required for MIT Chennai PG courses. The admission process for each programme in detail is given below.

    • Candidate should apply for the respective programme online via the link given cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa/

    • Candidates must provide a valid email ID and an active phone number for further communication by the institute.

    • Upload the relevant documents like a photo (recently taken), academic scores, personal details and others. Save the application process.

    • Pay the application fee/registration fee online which is different for different programmes.

    • Submit the application and take the printout of the application form.

    Candidate must clear the MIT Chennai BE/B.Tech selection criteria by qualifying the merit list. The overall merit list should be qualified which is based on the total marks of 200 (Mathematics 100, Physics + Chemistry - 100), made from the scores of class 12th.

    MIT Chennai BE/B.Tech Admission Process

    • Candidate must fill out the application form, pay Rs 800 (+18% GST) as the application fee and submit the form.

    • Once all the MIT Chennai BE/B.Tech selection criteria are met, wait for the declaration of merit list.

    • Overall rank and Community-wise rank lists will be published on Anna University, Chennai website cfa.annauniv.edu/cfa.

    • If selected, then the counselling process starts which involves choice filling, seat allotment and admission.

    • Before the choice selection, an initial amount of Rs 5,000 should be paid through online mode and also a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs 300 (+18% GST) for the general category and SC/ST category. The fee will be adjusted in the tuition fee.

    • Candidate must download the provisional allotment form and Rs 5,000 receipt from the portal for further procedures.

    • Once the provisional allotment is confirmed, the candidate can visit the college to pay the remaining fee and confirm the admission fee.

    MIT Chennai M.Sc Admission 2023

    The 2-year M.Sc programme under MIT Chennai PG courses requires graduation (B.Sc) in mathematics or applied science followed by qualifying for an entrance test. A merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained on the entrance test.

    • After the declaration of the exam results, the merit list will be made and published.

    Eligible candidates are required to qualify for the MIT Chennai ME selection criteria that involve giving an entrance test GATE (PG) or CEETA-PG.

    • Pay the application/registration fees for the GATE category (only Online Payment) which is Rs 1000 (+18% GST) for candidates belonging to OC/BC/BCM/MBC and DNC, and Rs.500 (+18% GST) for candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST.

    • Submit your registration and appear for the entrance test.

    • After the results, the merit list will be published in annauniv.edu/tanca2019 and the counselling procedure starts.

    • The details of the counselling process of CEAP 2023 will be published in the Anna University web portal annauniv.edu/tanca2019.

    • Candidates are required to choose the course and the branch of study.

    • After the confirmation of admission, visit the institute and pay the admission fee.

    The Ph.D programmes of Madras Institute Of Technology, Chennai are regular and have multiple disciplines related to science and engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Information and Communication).

    In my opinion there is nothing like famous or best specialisation but it’s all depend upon your area of interest, if you are interested in what you wanted to do.

    In LPU students can opt two specialisations it is dual specialisation course. So, students can opt any two specialization from almost 24 or + options. It is two year programme, in which first year in general and in second year specialisation come. There is related programmes are  like, tie- up programmes, international credit transfer programmes and you can opt MBA in specific specialization like hospital and healthcare management, international business and tourism and hospitality.

    MIT-WPU provides placements opportunities to every aspirants,AS per record more then 700 companies are visited every year with highest package of 17.06 LPA but when we go through the specific Bsc Economics course then they offer average salary 3.5LPA with some of top recruiters companies are Asian Paints ,Ajanta Pharma Ltd,John Deere etc..

    Both WIT WPU and LPU are good at their respective places cannot be compared at such. Both provides good infrastructure and ambience for one to learn and grow. They both have good set of faculty members and, are also good in terms of placement.
    So, it is entirely your calling as to which place you want to go for pursuing B.Sc in Economics. You can also visit the campus and talk to the students for a personalized experience and decide accordingly.
