Hello,

The overall performance of a student at any stage of the programme is evaluated by the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) upto that point of time. It is calculated as:

Cumulative Grade Point Average = Summation(Ci * Gpi)/Summation(Ci)

where, Ci is the credit for ith course in any semester,

and Gpi is the grade point obtained for that course.

The summation is for over all the courses registered by the student during all the semesters up to that point of time including the failed courses. The CGPA is also rounded off to two decimals. The ranking of the students in a batch for a particular branch at any intermediate or final stage is based on CGPA

Hope this helps!
