IT companies( avg pckg 3-3.5lpa) regularly visit campus and all that they look for is a confident student with basic software knowledge and a willingness to learn(irrespective of the branch)

Then you have the real estate companies where all you need is a college degree(grades don't matter at all).In my opinion it's better if you find a company on your own via LinkedIn job search or via some reference(avg pkg 2 3.5lpa)Sometimes big construction companies have also visited campus but again the pay package and job profile was in the same range.

The department also has a strong alumni connect so use it to optimise your possibilities. Some of you rseniors are with good MNC.

Then the most sought after is the Engineering Services Exam,DMRC,EIL etc. For which you need one year of hard work.Yes your seniors have cracked it in the past so be confident.
