Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology is an autonomous engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The college is and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. NMIT offers a four-year graduate programme in engineering leading to the award of the degree Bachelor of Engineering. The college postgraduate programmes in:

*Master of Computer Applications - MCA,

*M.Tech in -Computer Networking Engineering,Digital Communications &Netwotking Engineering,VLSI & Embedded Systems,Computer Science & Engineering

*Master of Business Administration(MBA),

*M.Tech in Thermal Power Engineering,Machine Design,Structural Engineering

It was ranked 100 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2018. Salman Yusuff Khan who was winner of Dance India Dance Season 1 is Notable Alumini.

College life is great. You have football, cricket, basketball and volleyball courts are available inside the campus. The college hosted SRCA Cricket Tournament in October 2004. The annual inter-collegiate volleyball tournament was held in December 2004. The annual college sports meet was held in June 2005. The college also organize several fests. The campus area is 23 acres. The college remains closed on National and State holidays.

The companies that come for placements are Dell, IBM, Infosys, Microsoft, Wipro, L&T Infotech, Tech Mahindra, Coca-Cola etc. Mirosoft offered four students jobs with compensation of Rs.9 LPA. NUTANIX offered two students jobs with compensation of Rs.13 LPA. NUTANIX offers students internships with compensation of Rs.40K per month.  

CSE and IT are the most prefered branch in this college.
