JGEC is one of the oldest college and very reputated college. Since its very famous the placement are good at this college. But now a days placement is low. Mncs visit the college but you have to grab the opportunites and have to prepare yourself well.

Overall it provide good placement every year but only thing is to make yourself upto that level so that you can get selected.

ECE is not a bad option. The placement at Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College is above average. The average package is Rs.2-4 LPA.
