King Edward Medical College has 200 seat intake for MBBS. This year there has been no news of increased seat intake yet.  15% of the seats are filled through All India Counselling and 85% of the seats are filled through State Counselling. The State Quota seats are filled divided into 70% Regional quota and 30% State Quota. The 70% Regional quota seats are reserved for Candidates belonging to Vidarbha, Marathwada and Rest of Maharashtra. And the Constitutional quota of Maharashtra is for Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Vimukta Jati/Denotified Tribes, NT-A,B,C,D and OBC.

Over 500 SEATS were added in 2019. And this year it has been proposed that atleast 2000 more seats will be added including reserved seats of Maratha and SEBC. This was announced in the Legislative Council. But there has been no latest news regarding this yet.
