About 19,000 seats are allocated to 31 NITs for Undergraduate programs and 8,050 seats for Post Graduate programs. The highest number of seats has been allocated to NIT, Raipur and this is followed by MANIT, Bhopal with 937 seats and NIT, Rourkela has 900 seats. About 8,548 seats of NITs are reserved for the candidates who belonged to the General category.
