Hi rahil,
According to the previous year data the total of 1000 seats were vancant in combining all nit , iiits or GFTIs . And only 150 seats were vacant in all iits .
Vancant seat were by the students who got alloted in lower branches or lower iits had not accepted the seats hence to fill the seats more the number of candidates were qualified in jee advance 2019.
