There is no particular data because counting has never been done. The selection in various courses is exam based which is on merit basis. Though internal students are given certain privilleges irrespective of the religion they are practicing. Indian students are eligible to apply in competetive exams, and selected purely on the basis of merit as OMR sheets dont bear names on them. But if there is lesser application of one group practicing certain religion then there could be even lesser number of them selected, because no particular religious group has smarter or brainy people. Indians are smart though. When i was studying there, fewer practicing hindu girls were there in the hostel, mostly were day scholars, as obviously due to the mindset. But in medical and engineering courses some years in some particular course there wer 50: 50 ratio.
