Last year closing rank in JEE mains of metallurgy was around 5800 and around 190-200 marks are required to have that Rank.

You should try to score more then 170 marks in your JEE Main exam to get NIT Trichy in general category other state quota. Cut off marks varies according to the branches as well.



To get CSE branch in NIT Trichy you should try to get score more then 250 marks in JEE Main in general category other state quota.

It's great to hear from you that you are a brilliant engineering aspirant and wishing to admit yourself in  one of the most prestigious institution in field of engineering to the exceptionally harmonious branch of metallurgical engineering. For metallurgical engineering at NIT Tiruchirapalli you will need to have your jee mains rank somewhere around 8000-9000. Which means you will at least have to secure minimum 200 to 230 marks. This much score will be more than enough for you to get admitted. But just don't suppress yourself and never get fulfilled, study more harder to be even better and make your beloved proud of yourself. Just think about getting admission in somewhere like IIT Dhanbad or IIT Bombay for metallurgical engineering. Won't it will be better for you to dream big ?
