The NIFT entrance exam pattern basically entails distribution of marks amongst various sections/phases of the NIFT entrance tests which include – 1. Written Test including GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test), 2.) Situation Test; 3.) Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Maximum marks for CAT is 100 and for GAT maximum marks is 150.

For Bachelor of Design, the weightage of CAT is 50%, GAT is 30% and Situation Test is 20%.

For Master of Design, the weightage of CAT is 40%, GAT is 30% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%

For Bachelor of Fashion Technology, the weightage of GAT is 100%.

For Master of  Fashion Technology, the weightage of GAT is 70% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%.

For Master of Fashion Management, the weightage of GAT is 70% and Group Discussion/ Personal Interview is 30%.

So Depending on the course you are taking, your maximum marks weightage changes.
