Hello.

Well, it depends on whether or not you are aiming to get into the aided college. The cutoff for the Fergusson (aided) College is generally hovering around 94.5% - 95 % for the open category students. If you belong to the open category then there is very little chance of getting an admission in the first round. But if you belong to categories other than the open category, then there might be a slim chance of getting an admission to the aided college as the cutoff is lower here.

However, if you are okay with the Fergusson (unaided) College, then you will most likely be admitted - basis the fact that the cutoff for this college hovers somewhere around 90%-93% for the open category students.

-> The major difference between the aided and the unaided college is the fee structure and the intake. Where the aided college has 8 divisions (A-H) the unaided college has only two divisions (I and J).

-> If some seats go vacant in round 1, then those seats are offered to the candidates in the waiting list based on their merit in round 2. However, sometimes waiting for round 2 maybe risky because there is no guarantee that the seats will remain vacant.
