Placements

Commerce and BBA students do well in campus placements. This is because finance, accounting and business roles are often in demand. Students studying Science those with IT skills or technical knowledge also find some job opportunities. They can get jobs in areas like data, analytics and software support. Arts students have to find jobs on their own. They look for postgraduate programs. Prepare for competitive exams like UPSC, MPSC and banking exams. Campus placements, for Arts students are very few.

Fergusson College offers average placement opportunities, with better chances mainly for Computer Science and vocational courses. Some companies visit the campus, and students with strong skills, internships, and certifications can get decent packages, many students also choose higher studies instead of placements. However, placements are not very strong compared to top professional colleges, especially for Arts and traditional Science courses. The average salary packages are moderate, and students often need to rely on self-effort and off-campus opportunities.

Placements are generally good. It really depends on how hard the students work to get a good job and students who work hard on their own to get good opportunities usually do better and placements are satisfactory, for students who try hard and the college provides a good platform for students to grow in their career and to do higher studies and students who do well in workshops and internships and certification courses usually have better chances of getting a good job.
