Don't worry even if you don't know computer science then also you can take computer science engineering. You need to work hard at first by understanding the codes. All you need to do is practice coding. In a year you will achieve good grasp

What if If I feel disinterested even after learning the basics? What options do I have?

If u don't like coding don't take cse because there is no other option than coding in cse
