The cut off of 2018 for Government Medical seat in Tamil Nadu for SC category through state quota was -

MBBS - 239 - Rajah Muthiah Medical College ,                           Annamalainagar

BDS - 535 - Rajah Muthiah Dental College and                        Hospital , Annamalai University ,                         Annamalainagar

Though the cut off this year is expected to increase by 15-30 marks , you have good chances for getting into MBBS course in a government college .

Well if you are looking for government colleges for mbbs , bds then at  279 marks im really sorry to say but you won't get any government seat.
Because  279 is low marks to secure  these both the courses in government  college.
Also  aspirant kindly mention your category too.
But still you can try for the other Medical courses like bams, bhms etc .
Because  this year cutoff goes higher and varies  like every year.
you can try for the private sector if you can only .
As get admission in government college  one should have to score atleast 550++ for mbbs ( general category)
For bds 500 + marks  for general category.
This ia just an estimation because  cutoff  goes as per the  examination  level.
