It is difficult to get either CSE or IT with your rank in Jadavpur University as their closing rank lies somewhere near 1000 for computer science whereas their closing rank for IT lies somewhere near 4000 for SC candidates. And it's the gmr rank only. But you should also check out some other colleges possible with your rank like

• Techno India Salt Lake Kolkata 
• Kolaghat Institute of Technology 
• Asansol Engineering college 
• Dr BC Roy college Durgapur 

And you should wait until the last round of counseling so you can land on to a good college.
