I am getting NIT and my father income in above 8 lakh per annumbelong to ST category so can any NIT give me fees waiver because in MNIT there is fee waiver for all ST/SC there is no mention about father income

Hello Parth,

In order to ensure that the underprivileged candidates do not leave pursuing higher education due to financial problems there is a provision of fee waiver for them. These are as under.

  • There is a fee waiver of 100% of the tution fee for SC/ST and PH candidates.
  • There is a fee waiver of 100% of the tution fee for General and OBC candidates whose family income bis less than one lakh.
  • There is a waiver of 2/3rd of the tution fee for General and OBC candidates whose family income is between 1 lakh to 5 lakh.
