As you got allotted any seat, but you want any higher preference seat in other colleges or institutes then you can use the float or slide option.

FLOAT - this options means that you have accepted the seat and but you want to get any higher preference branch in other colleges college in further rounds and if you will get them, you will accept it.

SLIDE - this options means that you have accepted the seat and but you want to get any higher preference branch is same college in further rounds and if you will get them, you will accept it.

Now if you used the float / slide option then you have to pay the seat acceptance fees for that allotted seat.
Now even though you didn't get any higher preference branch in next round then still your previously allocated seat will remain with you.

As you have not mentioned the counseling name in your query, then I can assume that your are asking your query about josaa or upsee counseling ( because as per your profile I can assume that you are an engineering aspirant )

Now if you are asking your josaa counseling, then in josaa counseling, you will find slide option
But if this query is for upsee counselling, then you will only have the option to float ( if you want a more better course ).
