I think you should contact help centre for the exact proceedings because it may  create problem later .

Otherwise you should give only one exam ( with one application only). 

So that other application will taken as absent during exam.

See there is nothing much bigger trouble for u. As the NTA will treat both these people as two different applicant but during their cross checking process they might cancel out both of ur application under the frauding condition.

It is better and the best option to get contacted to the helpline no provided there to consult and make them clear about the problem u are facing. Don't take it a small matter as this may dismiss ur one chance to sit in the exam.

Ask if any query but contact them as soon as possible.
