With an 11 lakh rank in JEE Mains, it’s quite difficult to get a seat in top-tier NITs or IIITs. However, you can still try for:

  • State-level government colleges through your state quota

  • Private colleges with government fee structure (some have lower cutoffs)

  • Colleges offering seats through CSAB (Special Round) — you might find options there with open seats.

Also, consider diploma to degree (lateral entry) after 3 years in polytechnic, or explore state CETs where competition is slightly lower.

Yes, you can participate in CDAC’s 2nd round of counselling even if you didn’t fill choices in the 1st round. Just pay the caution deposit and submit your preferences during the 2nd round based on available seats.
