I got 1480 GMR rank in JELET, yesterday.
And with this GMR, I cannot think of government colleges at all.

See i would suggest you to wait for the merit list to come but you have a really good chance of getting into Jadavpur University as you have a decent rank. The cutoff rank changes every year so it is hard to comment in that way. But wait for the list and hope for the best.
