First thing i clear you is that for mechanical engineering in IIT you need to clear JEE advanced.
You ahve good rank and i am.damn sure you definately get awesome College. Below are the colleges that you can easily get an NIT college.
Nit patna,
NIT raipur,

NIT Jalandhar
Nit silchar
Nit agartala,
Nit mizoram
Nit Hamirpur,
Nit Meghalaya,

Etc are college that you can easily get an NIT.

Hello,
Yes with your rank in JEE mains, you can get mechanical branch in IIITs or NITs. You need to be patient till all the rounds of counselling to get in best NIT. If you have top NIT In your home state then it will be a benefit to you to get the required branch in that college
