MKB quota or Maharastra Karnataka Border Dispute quota falls under special category reservation (horizontal reservation). In order to claim under this, you must belong to the area that comes under this quota. There are total 4 districts(Gulbarga, Karwar, Bidar and belgaum) and 865 villages or towns that belong to these districts. You will need to provide disputed area certificate at the time of counselling. In govt mbbs colleges around 8 seats are reserved for the candidates who are willing to claim under this quota.
