With 392 marks in NEET, chances for MBBS and BDS in government colleges are quite low, but for BAMS (Ayurveda), you definitely have options. Now, whether to go for All India or State counseling depends on a few things:

  • All India Quota (AIQ): Competition is tougher, and cutoffs are higher. With 392 marks, it’s a little difficult to get a government BAMS seat through AIQ.
  • State Quota: Much better chances, especially if your state has more Ayurvedic colleges. Every state has its own cutoff, and in many states, BAMS seats are available at 350–400 marks range.

I would suggest you to go for both All India counselling and State counselling. With 392 marks in NEET 2025, chances in All India quota (15%) are usually tougher because cut-offs are higher for BAMS in government colleges. But through your state quota (85%), your chances improve since cut-off is comparatively lower and depends on your category and the state you belong to.

So, apply for both counselling processes. If you get a good option in All India counselling, you can go with it, otherwise you will still have a backup in your state counselling. This way, you won’t miss out on any seat opportunities.

With 392 marks in NEET 2025, MBBS chances are low but BAMS is possible. In All India AYUSH counselling, cut-offs are usually higher, so chances may be tough. In your state quota, cut-offs are lower, giving you a better chance for BAMS. It is best to apply for both AIQ and state counselling to maximize options. Still, state counselling is safer for getting a BAMS seat at your score.

Hello,

With 392 marks in NEET 2025, chances for MBBS and BDS through All India counselling are very low. But for BAMS , it is better to focus on state counselling first because the cut-offs are usually lower in state quota and chances are higher.

You can still register for All India AYUSH counselling as well, but the chances will be tougher compared to state quota.

So, best option is to Apply for both (All India + State counselling), but keep more focus on state counselling for a good chance in BAMS.

Hope it helps !
