Bro, actually in VIT, admission takes place through it's own paper. You should have give its paper to increase your chances for admission, as VIT gives priority to the students giving their own paper and scoring in them. You can take admission in VIT through it's paper only.

You should know that, Vellore Institute of Technology is a private deemed university and an Institute of Eminence located in the outskirts of Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the top engineering colleges of India.As your percentage in 12th are not so good,but yiur JEE MAINS rank is good enough to get VIT, that's why you should definitely apply for the admission there.As on the basis of your rank there are the chances of getting a seat in that college. You can apply for any branch in which you are interested in that college.

VIT doesn't accept JEE Main scores. To get admission in VIT, there is a separate entrance exam called VITEEE. Also, you should have a score of at least 60% in PCM.
