Hello Ritesh,

The eligibility criteria for getting admission into nits ,IIITs and gfti's is minimum 75% in pcm in 10+2. It is relaxed only for SC/ST to 65%. So you will face problem during counseling time in getting admission.

According to your rank in jee mains , I can say that you can get into some lower branches in few nits. You can get nit Agartala, Mizoram,east state nits., Textile, production, biotech, engineering branches in lower ranked nits.

If you have score 55% in board examination then you are not eligible for getting admission in nit or any IIITs you can try for some state government college or you can apply for HBTU kanpur which is one best college according to your score you can apply here the placement and opportunity are also good
