Hello Aspirant,
For MHT-CET with 58 percentile, getting into top-end engineering colleges in Pune would be tough under the open category, but you can get into satisfactory private colleges or new institutes based upon one of your category (SC/ST/OBC), home university quota, and branch of your choice. Colleges like Sinhgad Institute, DY Patil (Akurdi, Lohegaon), Zeal College or Imperial College could admit you at your percentile in a branch offered.
I would advise you to attend all the CAP rounds and have backup options in mind. In addition, check out the cutoff trends of the past few years, available on the official website of CET Cell, for better perspective.
Hello there,
With 58 percentile in MHT CET , it will be difficult to get a top or mid-tier engineering college in Pune, especially for high-demand branches like CSE, IT, or ECE under the general category . What you can expect:
Lower-tier private colleges in Pune might offer you admission in non-core branches like:
Mechanical
Civil
Electrical
Production
If you belong to a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) or have home state quota , your chances will improve significantly.
You can consider these colleges for backup options:
D.Y. Patil Institute of Engineering, Ambi
Zeal College of Engineering
JSPM’s Bhivarabai Sawant Institute
Trinity College of Engineering
RSCOE (might get non-core branches)
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
