JEE Mains unlike JEE Advance is held twice a year, from 2019 and is conducted by NTA. The two exams are held in January and April, but in 2020 the second JEE Mains was held in September because of the COVID Pandemic.

VIT takes the admission on the basis of JEE MAINS Score as well as it's own Entrance Exam. The better of the two results is taken for the final result. Don't worry, the better of the two attempts is taken for calculation.
