Hello there,

With 88.5 percentile in JEE Mains and 75.22 percentile in AEEE, you have a decent chance of getting ECE at Amrita campuses like Amritapuri and Bengaluru. However, Coimbatore may be difficult as it usually has a higher cutoff. Admissions depend on seat availability, category, and preferences, so check the official AEEE/JEE cutoff ranks for confirmation.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.

As we discuss your concerns and goals, I sense that you're anxious about securing a seat in the ECE branch at Amrit campuses, given the competitive nature of the admissions process.

Your JEE Main and AEEE scores are respectable you may get amravati, amritapuri and bengluru campus as per last year cutoff trends only if you are from state because for other states Aeee cutoff is more than 90 percentile but you're uncertain about the cut-off scores for the ECE branch.

I encourage you to continue researching Amrit campuses and other colleges that offer ECE programs, and reach out to them directly to inquire about their admission processes and requirements. Take time to reflect on your academic and career aspirations, and how the ECE branch aligns with them.

Remember to prioritize your personal growth and development during your undergraduate studies. By doing so, you'll be well-equipped to make informed decisions about your future and navigate the challenges that lie ahead.

Hope this is helpful to you!!!

hi ,

Based on your scores—88.5 percentile in JEE Main and 75.22 percentile in AEEE—securing a seat in the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham may be challenging. The university allocates 70% of its B.Tech seats based on AEEE scores and the remaining 30% through JEE Main percentiles .

For the ECE branch, the typical percentile requirements are as follows:

  • Coimbatore Campus :

    • Home State Candidates: 85–95 percentile
    • Other State Candidates: 90–97 percentile
  • Amritapuri Campus :

    • Home State Candidates: 79–93 percentile
    • Other State Candidates: 87–95 percentile
  • Bengaluru Campus :

    • Home State Candidates: 80–94 percentile
    • Other State Candidates: 88–96 percentile
  • Chennai Campus :

    • Home State Candidates: 70–93 percentile
    • Other State Candidates: 78–95 percentile

Given that your AEEE percentile is below these ranges, admission through the AEEE channel appears unlikely. However, your JEE Main percentile of 88.5 is closer to the lower end of the required range for the ECE branch, especially for the Chennai campus. While it's still below the typical cutoff, you might consider applying through the JEE Main channel, as cutoffs can vary annually based on factors like the number of applicants and seat availability.

hope this helps

Admission to the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) branch at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham depends on entrance exam scores and cutoffs. Generally, a JEE Main percentile around 97% improves the chances, while for AEEE, a rank below 8,000 is preferable. With a JEE Main percentile of 88.5% and an AEEE score of 75.22%, securing an ECE seat might be challenging. However, cutoffs vary each year based on factors like difficulty level and seat availability. It is advisable to participate in the Centralized Seat Allotment Process (CSAP) and consider alternative branches or campuses for better admission chances.
