Hello,

Since you have got NIR Srinagar in the first round of your JOSAA counseling and you're not satisfied with it you should go with the float option, by doing so you won't loose your seat in NIT Srinagar.

Float option is for those Candidates who wish to participate in the further rounds of counseling without losing the seat alotted to them in the first round.

If you get alotted a seat in your desired NIT in the further rounds then you can take admission in it and if you don't get any desired College and want to take the seat which was allotted to you in the first round then you can freeze that option and take admission there.
