It's better if you prepare for GATE and score good marks so that you can get a good college with your preferred stream as it will boost your chances of getting good exposure in the field of mechatronics and robotics.

You can take courses in enhancing your programming skills as it is one of the very important part of mechatronics

You can enhance skills in c++/matlab etc.

Also you can learn more about Arduino, PLC etc.
