Based on your percentile and interest in placements, your primary focus should be on colleges with consistently strong academic records and good industry connections.

PICT (Pune Institute of Computer Technology) is one of the most preferred choices for MCA in Pune. It has a strong reputation, good coding culture, and solid placement records. Students here usually get placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, and even some product-based firms. With your percentile, you stand a strong chance of getting in during the early CAP rounds.

VIT Pune (Vishwakarma Institute of Technology) is also a very good option. It offers strong infrastructure, active placement cells, and a decent number of recruiters, especially from IT services and consulting companies. The environment is student-friendly and placement training support is strong.

You should also definitely consider the Department of Computer Science at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). It’s a central university department, so the academic reputation is excellent. The placements here are good, and the course is more research and theory oriented, which can also help if you plan to pursue higher studies or R&D roles.

Sinhgad Institutes and MIT-WPU are also good backups. Sinhgad has a decent placement track record, though not at the same level as PICT or VIT. MIT-WPU offers modern curriculum and decent placements, but fee-wise it's on the higher side compared to others.
