Hello Aspirant,

As you mentioned  that  you have completed your graduation, you can absolutely appear for Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) UG provided you should have at least Fourty five percentage of marks  in your graduation.Graduation marks matters a lot for the eligibility.

Hope this information helpful to you.

Thank you..!

I called and confirmed with the contact number of the official that is available on the website of CLAT, that, since my graduation is in a different field, it does not matter and I can apply for the 5-year course. Only my HS marks hold valid and relevant

Yes. Only your 12th  Class marks will be considered to be eligible for CLAT. You need to score a minimum 45% aggregate marks in 12th to be eligible.
But as you've done your graduation already, though are eligible for CLAT you should prefer 3 year LLB. 3 year LLB is a a law course specially for people who have already done graduation. It will help you save 2 years. 5 years law is more suitable for candidates after 12th.

Hey,

You are eligible to appear for undergraduate programme of CLAT.There is no upper age limit to appear for CLAT.The basic eligibility criteria is to pass 12th from any recognised board with minimum 45 per cent in aggregate of total marks and for SC/ST it is 40 per cent.

Graduation marks do not matter for eligibility for CLAT UG. It itself is an undergraduate programme.

But if you are already done with your graduation then better go for three year LLB programme as CLAT is a five year integrated programme. For three year LLB,all colleges have their own admission process for instance Delhi University,Banaras Hindu University etcetra. It is equally good and will save your time.

However,its your calling.

Good luck.
