As you've mentioned that you've scored 98.9 percentile in JEE main examination and assuming that you're a general candidate then according to the formula

Rank=(100-percentile)*8690.10

Your rank is around 9,550-9,570. At this rank you're eligible to get admission into NIT. There are chances where you might not get higher branch in higher NIT. But you can get good NITs for sure.
