There are certain rules according to which eligibility criteria is formed for any entrance examination.You must be eligible for any exam to appear in it.
If you are 2018 passout then you are eligible for:
2018 : JEE mains and JEE Advance
2019: JEE mains and JEE Advance
2020: JEE mains
If your 12th boards result has been published after june 2018 then only you would be eligible for JEE advance 2020 other wise not.
