Well, according to my opinion, there isn’t a fixed answer for your question. The branch-wise cutoff for any branch totally depends on the no. of applicants who got shortlisted for the counselling.
Among the top-notch branches of B.Tech remains the Applied Petroleum Engg. (with Upstream specialization), Computer Science Engg.(with Cloud Computing & Virtualization Tech specialization), Automotive Design Engg, Chemical Engg, etc. The list keeps varying depending on the market conditions.

And right now, there are (on average) approximately 60–70 seats per branch available in the university. And those get filled from UPESEAT results and from Board-merit criteria, both.
