Dear Ashsih, JNU offers varumious levels of programmes in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese,  French, German, Persian, Pashto,  Korean, Japanese,  Russian, Spanish, Italian, Mongolian etc. It also offers full time and part time courses. JNU also has 3 different learning centres for Centre for English Studies, Centre for Linguistics and Centre for Indian Languages.

• The entrance exam is  called JNUEE and will be tentatively conducted in the month of May. The official notification will be released tentatively in the month of March. Keep an eye on the official website for more information.

• The entrance examination will be in the form of MCQ(Multiple Choice Questions) in English. The entrance exam is for candidates who want to join in BA(Hons) 1st year and direct entry into BA(Hons) 2nd year. The syllabus for both the entries will cover General Knowledge, Artificial Language, Language Aptitude, Reading Comprehension on issues related to the subject, etc.

• The eligibility criteria for admission into 1st year is 10+2 with a minimum aggregatte of 45%. Candidates appearing in final year 10+2 exams are also eligible. Admission for 2ndvyear Direct entry requires 10+2+2 studies with a minimum aggregate of 45%. You should also have sufficient proficiency in the language that you want to take up.

• The 10 different languages are divided into 3 Clusters. You can choose 3 languages from 2 clusters or 3 languages from the same cluster.

          Cluster 1: French, German, Spanish, Russian
          Cluster 2: Japanese, Korean, Chinese
          Cluster 3: Persian, Arabic Pashto.
