I saw the seat matrix of IGDTUW for st candidate outside delhi in IT branch its written 1 and for ECE AND ECE AI it's 1 and 1 respectively. Does it mean that only 1 candidate is selected?

Hi,

Hope you are doing well.

As per the admission criteria defined by JAC , the seats are reserved to students based on home state, gender, community , category and other quota.

So, if 1 seat is reserved for ST Student outside Delhi in IT Branch then it means first seat is allocated to all open seats which are not reserved. After that one student in ST would be given below General cutoff.

With 1 ST seat reserved doesn't mean that only one ST student will be admitted. It means only one ST student is admitted below General category cutoff. If ST student has score or rank above or equal to General category cutoff then he/she should also get seat alloted.

I hope this will answer your query.

Thanks!!!!!
