As u say that ur marks r 457 nd u r from UR category also so there is no scope of gettiing govt medical college in gujarat with these scores bcoz cutoff will be high for gujarat state for general it will go around 520+ so yes u will get admission only through EWS category.

There is no seperate merit rank for EWS in gujarat. Merit rank for UR and EWS will be common. According to some people EWS Category will also be considered in UR Category. And higher merit rank aspirant might get admitted in UR Category. Is it true? How they admitted both categories?
