According to 2018, the closing rank for Computer science engineering at MSRIT was 1131. The marks vs rank in 2018 was in such a way that on obtaining 117 marks, the rank was around 5k-6k. Well, in 2017, the marks vs rank was in such a way that the rank obtained on 117 marks was lower than the rank obtained in 2018. So we can see that rank depends upon several factors like number of candidates appearing for the examination, number of seats available, difficulty level of the paper etc.
