In engineering, a degree in mechanical engineering is given preference so also aerospace engineering from any of the renowned colleges in India.

The next step is to register yourself in the astronaunt candidate programme under ISRO. Keeping in mind ypu have answered JEE mains and JEE advanced pr any of the public online entrance tests.

Furthermore, there are criterias you have to qualify for such as

1) Have to be physically fit and mentally strong and also posses a high stamina and endurance rate which is passing the G-Force test)

2) Have to be an expert in Complex mathematics and A.P physics.

3) Have to meet up to the particular height and weight criterias inorder to pass the test.

4) Have to have a good education level throughout from 10th grade and have good leadership and teamspirit qualities.

5) Have to be profficient in english and the regional language inorder to cope with the travelling required abroad.
