As you see, there is a much less competition for the branches like automobile engineering and metallurgical engineering in JNTUK when compared to other on demand branches like computer science and electronics. 

But anyways it is a good choice opting for automobile engineering as it has a huge lot of opportunities open for you in the future. 

Coming to the cut off, last year the closing rank for automobile engineering in open category was around 17000. So, this year it may end around 15k. So, you need not to worry if your rank is within 15k.
