What will BPT course offer to the students?

In the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Course shortly called as BPT course offered in Government colleges, students will be trained in core skills like application of electro physical modalities, therapeutic exercise and manual therapy. When a candidate completes this course, he/she will be able to judge and improve the movement potential of a victim through motion.

Duration of the course:

The duration of BPT course is normally four and half years and on successful completion of this period, students will have to take up six months of compulsory internship programme, which is the final phase of the course. This internship programme is designed to offer job exposure to the students through real clinical practice. In most of the aforesaid government colleges, students are allowed to complete the internship in the hospital attached to the college.

Eligibility for joining BPT course:

A candidate seeking admission to the BPT course must have completed his/her higher secondary course in science stream with biology, chemistry and physics. Admission to this course is normally made on the basis of state-level of national-level entrance examinations.
