How many marks are required for BPT course in neet UG in maharashtra government medical college

Ayush Madanpotra 18th Jul, 2025

To get admission into the BPT course (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) in government medical colleges in Maharashtra through NEET UG, you must score around 330 to 350 marks. This is the expected cutoff for general category students. Just passing NEET is not enough. The cutoffs are high because there are limited seats in government colleges.

For example, in colleges like Government Medical College Nagpur, students with NEET scores above 325 to 350 usually get admission.

If you belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, or OBC, the required marks may be slightly lower, but still close to that range.

what is the NEET cut-off for BPT?

Bipasha 17th Jul, 2025

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is not a core MBBS program, so the NEET cut-off for BPT is generally lower than for MBBS or BDS. In many states, candidates with NEET scores around 250–400 have a good chance depending on reservation and seat availability. Some colleges even offer admission without NEET based on 12th marks.

I WANT TO PURSUE BPT, I APPLIED TO DPSRU, AND JAMIA HAMDARD,. SEATS IN DPSRU ARE ALREADY FILLED. I AM A GIRL FROM MINORITY OBC CATEGORY, I GAVE NEET BUT SCORED BAD, I ALSO GAVE CUET. NOW I WANNA KNOW IF I CAMN GET ADMISSION IN JAMIA HAMDARD, OR ANY OTHER GOOD PRIVATE UNIVERSITY WHICH IS OFFERING BPT

Swastika Das 15th Jul, 2025

If you scored low in NEET and CUET and DPSRU seats are filled, you still have options. Jamia Hamdard may still consider CUET scores depending on merit and category. You can also explore other reputed private universities offering BPT like Amity University, Sharda University, Manav Rachna, and D.Y. Patil. Many private institutions have management quota or conduct their own entrance exams. Keep checking their websites or call admissions for updates. As an OBC minority candidate, you may also benefit from reserved seats or scholarships if available.

Sir how I get admission in government college of bpt

Sajal Trivedi 12th Jul, 2025

Hello aspirant,

Candidates must have finished Class 12 with Science (PCB) in order to be admitted to BPT in 2025.  Generally speaking, you must have earned a minimum percentage, usually 50%, in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in your 10+2 exam.  In order to select students, many institutions use entrance exams such as the NEET or state-level exams. After counseling, you can select the college of your choice.
