Dear Sayali, the NEET eligibility friteria is that you should have passed your 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% if you are from General Category. It is 45% for SC/ST and 40% for PWD.And the minimum age is that you should be atleast 17 years old by December 31st of the year of admission. Assuming the rules don't change and you complete your 10+2 with the required aggregate in 2020, you are eligible to appear fpr NEET in 2020.
Thanks for contacting Careers 360.
NEET Elligibility criterion with respect to Class 12 marks -
UR - 50%
OBC/SC/ST - 40%
PWD - 45%
Your aggregate marks (in perecntage) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology should be that much as listed above.
So assuming in 2020 you secure those marks or higher, you are elligible for NEET 2020.
I would suggest you to pass your board exams (Class 12) in the first attempt itself. This is due to the fact that if you take one more attempt, one point will be deducted from your career marking points when you will apply for postings after you complete MBBS. And in those cases, even one point becomes crucial which will decide which area you will be posted at.
Thank You
Best Of Luck

Point in the sense

Career points depend on state policies. In my state Odisha, career pointas per DMET is as follows -
Class 10 marks - 20 percent
Class 12 marks - 20 percent
MBBS marks - 60 percent
Any failure (and appeared exam for one more time) - 1 point deduction for each failure
Eg. If a student secures 90 percent in class 10, 80 percent in class 12 (but has failed once) and 70 percent average in all his MBBS exams, then
Total Career points = 20 percent of 90 + 20 percent of 80 + 60 percent of 70 - 1 (-1 deducted as he/she had failed once) = 18 + 16 + 42 - 1= 76-1 = 75
Hence failures can deduct points and even 1 point is crucial in determining the postings after you complete MBBS.
Yes, if you clear NEET PG with a very good rank, these points dont matter.

And if he or she repeat 12th for getting more good Mark's even if he or she has passed in first attempt then too 1point will be deducted from his Career points?
