Many colleges ask the background of the student and consider the student who have choosen science group. It means if you did 12th in MPC or Bi.P.C they both can join. But, the colleges especially in South India they are particularly mentioning biology, physics and chemistry as mandatory subject for joining bsc agriculture and horticulture

For admission to B.Sc Agriculture course, a candidate who has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized University/board in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics subjects combination are eligible to apply.
