I would like to tell you that CAT exam is conducted by IIMs every year.

This year CAT is on 25 Nov and IIFT Is on 2nd Dec 2018.

There doesn't seem any concerns regarding whether you can give or not both exams.

Rakesh, you can give both CAT and IIFT Exams

Both exams are conducted by different institutions and both have different criteria of shortlisting. There's no harm in giving both exams and giving CAT will not devoid of IIFT and vice versa.

There's no reason for non-eligibility for IIFT exam as long as you fulfill the eligibility requirement of the test. Both the exams have a gap of one week, CAT Exam being conducted on 25th November, 2018 and IIFT on 2nd December 2018, so you can appear for both exams.
