It actually doesn't matter if you try for BIT, Mesra in place of NIT. Both of them have their pros & cons when compared with each other. When trying for MS abroad, the biggest thing which students miss out is working on their extra curricular activities. Take as many certificates as possible, publish papers, attend conferences that would include international students. Let there be exchange of ideas in your engineering years.

Have better SOPs & LORs throughout your engineering years. Try to get connected with industrial & academicians.
