Hello Aspirant,

See NCERT is the must have book for JEE-Main or any other competitive examination but depending only upon it would not be the wise choice because it can clear all your concepts of Chemistry or any other subject but you also need some practice of numericals also so for that you should go for some side books. But if you only go with thorough reading of NCERT for Chemistry you will be only be able to reach till 40-50 marks out of 100 in Chemistry section. So I am enlisting down some best books for preparation of JEE-Main 2021 for Chemistry as well as for other two subjects :-

Hello.

Yes, NCERT's Chemistry is enough to score good marks in the JEE (Mains) examination. Around 80-85% of the questions in the Chemistry section comes from NCERT. If you study all the concepts thoroughly, you can definitely score 90+.

Chemistry is divided into 3 parts: Organic, Inorganic and Physical. A lot of direct questions are asked from Inorganic Chemistry. It is the most scoring section out of all three. In Physical Chemistry, most of the questions are numerical-based and practice is needed. Coming to Organic Chemistry, a lot of questions are directly asked from NCERT. Most of the questions are based on various mechanisms so keep in mind to study them properly.

You should also study from JEE (Mains) preparation books as they will help you to understand the type of questions they may ask. Also, don't forget to solve previous years' question papers since many questions are repeated.

I hope this helps.
