JOSAA and some other colleges also, provide three options to the students while counseling. 

1.) Freeze: Here a student confirms his seat in a particular college and branch and cannot change it again.

2.) Slide: This option gives the student a chance to make the betterment of the field in a particular college. The college cannot be changed but you can go for the betterment of the branch.

3.) Float: ( This is what one should choose) This allows the student to go for betterment in-branch and the college with keeping a branch and college seat reserved.
